Welcome to AIMoovieStudios. These Terms explain what you can expect from us and what we expect from you. The most important parts are in highlighted boxes: your promise about real people's faces and voices, and how plans renew.

1. This agreement

AIMoovieStudios is operated by [COMPANY LEGAL NAME, e.g. Example Studios LLC] ([ENTITY TYPE AND STATE, e.g. a Delaware limited liability company]), doing business as AIMoovieStudios (“AIMoovieStudios”, “we”, “us”). These Terms of Service are a contract between you and us. They cover the website at https://aimooviestudios.com, the studio, the public share and profile pages, the command-line tool and API, and everything else we offer under the AIMoovieStudios name (together, the “service”).

These Terms include, by reference, the Acceptable Use Policy, the Credits, Subscriptions & Refunds and the Copyright & DMCA Policy. The Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. By creating an account, or by using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

If you use the service for a company or other organization, you agree on its behalf and confirm you have authority to do so; “you” then means both you and that organization.

2. Who can use the service

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use the studio. We set this age because the service takes payments and handles images and voices of real people. By signing up you confirm you are 18 or older and able to form a binding contract.

You may not use the service if we have previously banned you, if you are barred from receiving services under the laws of the United States or the country where you live, or if you are located in a country or region subject to comprehensive U.S. sanctions.

3. Your account and its security

  • Give us a real email address you control and keep your details current. We use that address for sign-in, security and billing messages.
  • Keep your password private. It must be at least 12 characters. We strongly recommend turning on two-step sign-in in Account > Security.
  • Personal access keys for the command-line tool and API act as you. Treat them like passwords; revoke any key you no longer use in Account > Developer.
  • You are responsible for everything done through your account. People you invite to a project act through their own accounts and pay for their own takes.
  • Tell us straight away at support@aimooviestudios.com if you think someone else has used your account. You can sign out every device from the Security page.
  • One person, one account. Do not share an account or create accounts to get around limits, bans or free credits.

4. What the service does

AIMoovieStudios is an AI filmmaking studio. You bring a story; our AI agents help break it into scenes and shots and write prompts, and third-party AI models generate pictures, video clips, voices and sound effects (“takes”). You review the takes, keep the ones you like, and download the clips and sounds you keep to finish the film in your own editing program.

The studio does not make music with AI. Music in your film is music you bring in: your own, licensed from a library, or written for you. Our guide at Learn > Music for your film explains where to find it and what a license must cover.

Generation is done by models made by other companies and reached through the providers listed on our Subprocessors page. Which models are available changes as makers release, change and retire them. Results vary and can be wrong, strange, or not what you asked for; that is the nature of generative AI. Agent advice, script notes and quality checks are suggestions, not guarantees.

We are constantly improving the service, so features may change, and some may be labeled preview or beta. We may add, change or remove features. If we remove a paid feature you are actively paying for, we will tell you in advance where we reasonably can.

5. Credits, plans and payment

Most things that cost us money to run, such as generating a take or running an AI agent or check, are paid for with credits. The studio shows the price in credits before you spend, and asks you to confirm.

  • Buying credits. You can buy one-time credit packs, or subscribe to a plan that adds credits each billing period. Prices, the number of credits and what each plan includes are shown on the billing page and at checkout before you pay.
  • Credits are not money. They have no cash value, cannot be sold or transferred to another account, and cannot be exchanged for cash except where we say so in the Credits, Subscriptions & Refunds or where the law requires.
  • Automatic renewal. Plans renew automatically at the end of each monthly or annual period, and we charge the payment method on file at the then-current price, until you cancel. You can cancel online at any time from Account > Plan & billing; cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for. The full auto-renewal terms, including reminders and price-change notice, are in the Credits, Subscriptions & Refunds.
  • Automatic top-ups. If you turn on automatic top-ups, you authorize us to charge your saved card for the pack you chose whenever your balance drops below the level you set, up to the monthly limit you set. You can change or turn this off at any time.
  • How generations are charged. Credits are set aside when a job starts and charged when the result arrives. If a job fails for a reason that is not yours, the credits set aside are returned. Details are in the Credits, Subscriptions & Refunds.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe. You agree to Stripe's terms for the payment itself. We never see or store your full card number.
  • Taxes. Prices do not include taxes unless we say so. Where we are required to collect sales tax, VAT or a similar tax, it is added at checkout.
  • Price changes. We may change prices. A new price for a plan applies from your next renewal after we have told you about it, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
  • Invite and promo codes may give free credits. They are subject to any conditions shown with them, may expire, and may not be sold. We may take back credits obtained by abuse, error or fraud.
  • If a payment fails or is reversed (a chargeback), we may pause paid features, remove credits that the payment bought, and ask you to fix the payment method.

6. Your content

“Your content” means what you put into the service (scripts, story notes, character and location descriptions, prompts, reference images, clips, music and other sound files, voice you record, other uploads, messages to agents and collaborators) and the takes and films generated for you.

You keep ownership of your content, to the extent you had rights in it to begin with. We do not claim ownership of it.

To run the service, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, process, transmit, adapt (for example resize, transcode, cut stills from, or combine into a film), and display your content, and to send it to the AI providers and other processors needed to do what you ask. This license is only for operating, securing and improving the reliability of the service for you, and for showing your content to the people you choose (collaborators, anyone you send a share link to, and visitors to your public profile if you turn it on). It ends when your content is deleted from the service, except for copies in routine backups until they expire, and copies others have already downloaded.

We do not use your content to train AI models. See the AI Disclosure for exactly what we promise and how the providers we use treat your inputs.

You are responsible for your content. You confirm that you have all the rights and permissions needed to upload it and to have it processed as these Terms describe, and that your content and your use of the takes comply with these Terms and the law.

Music, footage, artwork and other material you upload must be yours or licensed to you for the use you make of it, including where and how you show the film. You are responsible for those rights; we do not check them for you.

7. Who owns AI-generated takes

As between you and us, we assign to you whatever rights we may have in the takes and films generated for you, and you may use them for any lawful purpose, including commercially, subject to these Terms. Please understand the limits of that:

  • Copyright may not protect purely AI-generated material. In the United States, the Copyright Office has said that material generated by AI without sufficient human authorship is not protected by copyright. Your own script, your selection and arrangement of takes, and your edits may be. Other countries have different rules.
  • Outputs are not unique. A model may produce similar results for other people. You get no rights in other people's outputs, and they get none in yours.
  • Model makers' terms may apply. Some model makers restrict certain uses of their outputs or require disclosure that content is AI-generated. Where we know of such conditions, we pass them on in the Acceptable Use Policy.
  • Check before you publish. A take may accidentally resemble a real person, a brand, a character or another work. You are responsible for checking that your use of a take does not infringe anyone's rights, especially before commercial use.

8. Real people's faces and voices

The studio lets you upload pictures and clips of people and build characters from them. Using a real person's face, body, voice or name (their “likeness”) is sensitive and, in many places, regulated by right-of-publicity, privacy, biometric and deepfake laws.

Every time you upload or generate the likeness of a real, identifiable person, you promise that:

  • the person is you, or you have that person's informed permission, preferably in writing, to use their likeness this way, for this purpose;
  • the person is an adult. You must never upload or generate the likeness of a real minor;
  • the use does not deceive anyone about what the real person said or did, and follows the Acceptable Use Policy; and
  • you will stop using it and delete it if the person withdraws their permission.

We may ask you to show that you have permission, and we may remove content or suspend accounts when we receive a credible complaint from the person depicted or their representative. People who believe their likeness or voice is being used without permission can write to legal@aimooviestudios.com.

9. Acceptable use

You must follow the Acceptable Use Policy. In short: no non-consensual likenesses or voices of real people, no sexual content involving minors (ever, including fictional or AI-generated), no deepfakes meant to deceive, no impersonation, no infringement, no harassment, nothing illegal, and nothing that breaks the usage policies of the model makers we route to. You may also not attack, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the service, get around its limits, security or credit system, or resell access without our written permission.

Model makers run their own safety filters. A filter may refuse a prompt or reference that you believe is fine; we cannot override it.

10. Sharing, public profiles and teams

  • Private by default. New projects, takes and films are visible only to you and the collaborators you invite, unless you change that setting.
  • Share links. When you create a share link for a film, anyone who has the link can watch it without signing in. Share pages are marked so search engines should not index them, but you control who gets the link. Links cannot be switched off one by one today; to stop a link working, delete the film. Only share films you have the right to share.
  • Public profile. If you turn on your public profile, your display name, handle, picture, bio, links and (if you allow new work to be public) your finished films are visible to anyone and may appear in search engines.
  • Teams. When you invite someone to a project, they can see it and, depending on the role you give them, change it and make takes in it, paid from their own credits. The project owner is responsible for who they invite. Collaborators' content in your project stays theirs, and these Terms apply to them too.

11. Copyright complaints

We respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act, and we terminate the accounts of repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances. How to send a notice or a counter-notice is explained in the Copyright & DMCA Policy.

12. Third-party services

The service relies on other companies (hosting, storage, AI model makers, payments, email). Their services are governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for them beyond our own obligations in these Terms and the Privacy Policy. Links to other websites are for convenience; we do not control those sites.

13. Feedback

If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them without any obligation to you. This does not give us any rights in your content.

14. Suspension and termination

You can leave at any time. Cancel any plan, download your data from Account > Privacy & data, then delete your account from Account > Security. You can restore the account by signing in within 30 days; after that it is closed and your content is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or close your account, or remove content, if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms, if the law requires it, if your use creates risk or legal exposure for us, other users or the people depicted, or if your account is inactive and unpaid for an extended period after we warn you. Where reasonable, we will tell you why and give you a chance to fix the problem or to download your content first. We may act immediately for serious violations such as child sexual abuse material, which we report to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children as the law requires.

If we close your account for a serious breach, unused credits are forfeited. If we close it for any other reason, or stop offering the service, we will refund the unused part of any credits you bought and any prepaid subscription period.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination do survive it. These include content licenses needed to finish deleting your data, AI output, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity and disputes.

15. Disclaimers

The service and all takes, films and agent advice are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement, and any warranty that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that any output will be accurate, original, lawful to use, or suitable for your purpose.

Some places do not allow these exclusions, so some of them may not apply to you.

16. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, neither we nor our suppliers will be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill or business opportunities, arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service, even if we were told they were possible. Our total liability for all claims relating to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, and (b) one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100).

These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for fraud, gross negligence or willful misconduct, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, and they do not limit your mandatory rights as a consumer where you live.

17. Indemnity

If someone brings a claim against us because of your content, your use of takes, your use of a real person's likeness, or your breach of these Terms or the law, you will defend us and pay the resulting losses, damages and reasonable legal costs. We will tell you about the claim promptly, let you control the defense (you may not settle in a way that admits fault on our behalf without our consent), and cooperate reasonably. If you are a consumer, this applies only to the extent the law where you live allows.

18. Disputes and governing law

If you have a problem with the service, please tell us first at legal@aimooviestudios.com and give us 30 days to try to fix it. Most problems are solved this way.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of [STATE, e.g. Delaware] and the federal laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any case that goes to court will be heard in the state or federal courts located in [COUNTY AND STATE FOR COURT CASES, e.g. New Castle County, Delaware], and you and we agree to those courts' jurisdiction. Either of us may bring a qualifying claim in small-claims court instead.

If you are a consumer living in the European Union, the United Kingdom or another country whose law gives you the right to sue at home or to rely on local consumer protections, nothing in this section takes that right away.

19. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If a change is material, we will tell you by email or in the studio at least 30 days before it takes effect, unless it is required sooner by law or to address a security or safety issue. Each version has a date-based version number shown at the top of this page. If you keep using the service after a change takes effect, you accept it; if you do not agree, stop using the service and you may close your account before the change applies.

20. General terms

  • These Terms, with the documents they include, are the whole agreement between you and us about the service.
  • If a court finds part of these Terms unenforceable, the rest stays in effect, and the part is enforced to the maximum extent allowed.
  • If we do not enforce a right straight away, we have not waived it.
  • You may not transfer these Terms without our consent. We may transfer them to a company that takes over the service, and we will tell you.
  • We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, including outages at our providers.
  • You must comply with U.S. and other applicable export-control and sanctions laws.
  • We may send you notices by email to your account address or in the studio. You may send notices to the address below.
  • California users: under California Civil Code § 1789.3, you may contact the Complaint Assistance Unit of the Division of Consumer Services of the California Department of Consumer Affairs in writing at 1625 North Market Blvd., Suite N 112, Sacramento, CA 95834, or by telephone at (800) 952-5210.
